BTC Cash Is Among the Few Major Altcoins Gaining Traction

BTC Cash is one of the rare significant players remaining stable while the vast majority of altcoins are reaching new lows. As of now, trading at $572.23, BCH has shown a solid 17.2% increase over the past month and is now approaching a daunting barrier level level around $718.55.

From a technical perspective, the breakout from a falling wedge pattern on the weekly chart strengthens the uptrend argument. Backing this up is on-chain data. The IntoTheBlock IOMAP model indicates that over 334,000 addresses are in profit just beneath the current price, creating a significant support barrier around $565.94. This isn’t merely a structural point; it’s potential for future growth.

If optimistic sentiment prevails, BCH might soon challenge the $700 mark and perhaps even reach four-digit levels before the year concludes.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is an alternative cryptocurrency that emerged in 2017 as a result of a network split from btc logoBitcoin ▲2.04%.

Upon its launch, all BTC holders automatically received BCH equivalent to their BTC balances. This feature allowed Bitcoin Cash to gain traction and become one of the most significant altcoins within the ecosystem.

From a technical standpoint, BTC Cash holds a close resemblance to BTC, with one key distinction: it aims to resolve Bitcoin’s scalability challenges by offering larger block sizes.

Larger blocks facilitate the processing of an increased number of transactions per second, theoretically allowing BCH to operate more efficiently as a payment option than BTC. While Bitcoin’s block size is capped at 1MB, Bitcoin Cash has raised that limit to 8MB.

The debate around block size is contentious due to its implications: smaller blocks base level greater decentralization. Hence, the concept underpinning BCH was not well-received, leading to significant rejection by a large portion of BTC users.
