Bitget and Avalanche Collaborate to Enhance Web3 Learning and Innovation in India

Apr 29, 2025

Bitget, the crypto trading protocol platform based in Seychelles, has established a strategic partnership with Avalanche, a decentralized, open-source blockchain network, to propel grassroots Web3 adoption in India.

Bitget revealed this new initiative on 28 April 2025, following various endeavors by both companies to advance crypto and its applications. Avalanche has previously worked alongside Indian government agencies on projects related to welfare programs and mini-grants. Additionally, Avalanche has rolled out multiple decentralized applications and boasts a burgeoning ecosystem aimed at enhancing Web3 adoption in India.

Bitget is familiar with such initiatives, having previously introduced Blockchain4Youth, an initiative that committed $10 million towards scholarships, workshops, and hackathons over five years.

At present, Bitget is negotiating with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to obtain its registration for operations within the country. Meanwhile, Avalanche is assisting state governments in India to further embed blockchain in their operations by moving public records to blockchain networks.

Jyotsna Hridyani, Head of Bitget South Asia, stated, “Empowering users with the right knowledge is crucial to unlocking the full potential of distributed ledger in India’s digital future.”

Devika Mittal, regional head of Ava Labs, shared a similar sentiment, stating, “Our aim with events is to create a space for every web3 enthusiast – whether in Delhi, Varanasi, or beyond – to connect and innovate.”

Both firms recognize India as a pivotal crypto market to grow and develop their Web3 expertise and plan to collaborate throughout 2025.

Details of the Bitget – Avalanche Partnership

Through their alliance, both companies intend to launch a series of awareness and educational workshops in 2025, known as the “HODL ON” tour. These initiatives are aimed at equipping the Indian public with vital knowledge regarding crypto protection and the opportunities presented by distributed database technology.

Moreover, the tours will act as a catalyst for Indian Web3 startups, providing them a platform to showcase their innovations while also exploring additional funding prospects.

As part of this outreach, two successful community meetings have already taken place in Delhi and Bengaluru. Bitget and Avalanche are optimistic that with adequate price floor, Indian tech talent can spearhead the development of Web3 applications.

India is poised to emerge as the global hub for Web3 developers. According to forecasts from India’s Web3 Landscape Report (2024) by Hashed Emergent, the nation could potentially eclipse the United States by 2028.

The report indicated a 28% growth in India’s Web3 developer community in 2024, with over 4.7 million developers contributing to platforms like GitHub.
