Jul 16, 2025

BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin and ETH ETFs attracted $14.1 billion in inflows during Q2 2025, elevating digital assets managed to $79.6 billion. As BTC reaches $123,000 and institutional interest continues to rise, even greater developments are anticipated.

With cryptocurrency values surging and BTC surpassing $123,000 this week, both HODLers and traders are capitalizing on a wave of positivity. The spike in spot valuations, edging towards record levels, is partly driven by the institutional embrace of cryptocurrencies following the endorsement of spot BTC and ETH ETFs in 2024.

As the globe’s largest asset manager, BlackRock plays a crucial role in the crypto market for spot Bitcoin and ETH ETFs. It releases billions in digital asset-backed shares aimed at institutions, mainly within the United States.

BlackRock Sees $14.1 Billion in Inflows to Spot ETH and BTC ETFs in Q2 2025

In their latest earnings report, BlackRock, which exclusively focuses on spot BTC and Ethereum ETFs and refrains from offering products for other altcoins, disclosed $14.1 billion in net inflows into its spot BTC and ETH ETFs during Q2 2025.

This increase propelled its total digital assets under management (AUM) to $79.6 billion. This growth indicates that crypto asset assets are increasingly integral to global finance, enhancing capital flow into some of the top meme token ICOs. Wall Street is paying closer attention to this sector, with institutions eager to acquire stakes in these non-yielding assets.

As anticipated, BlackRock’s iShares BTC Trust ETF (IBIT) accounted for a significant portion of inflows, fostering growth and reshaping the global ETF landscape as the fastest-growing ETF in history.

Current data indicates that IBIT manages $84.16 billion as of July 15, with consistent inflows since June 9. In contrast, its ETHA product for spot Ethereum ETFs oversees $6.6 billion, also showing steady inflows from July 3.

In the second quarter of 2025, BlackRock collected $40 million in fees alongside net inflows of $14.1 billion.

In comparison, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) required nearly six years to achieve this milestone.

IBIT currently holds over 717,000 Bitcoin, which is 3.4% of the total BTC token supply, surpassing MicroStrategy’s 601,550 Bitcoin while still trailing Satoshi Nakamoto’s digital wallet, holding 1 million BTC.

In addition to rising crypto asset prices, the policies of the Donald Trump administration are fostering institutional investment in digital assets.

Plans for a BTC Reserve in the United States alongside less stringent regulatory hurdles are enhancing investor confidence.

This momentum is further bolstered by the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which is advancing initiatives to launch spot Bitcoin ETFs.

In early June, TMTG submitted an S-1 registration statement to the SEC for the Trust Social Bitcoin ETF.

A month prior, NYSE Arca filed a 19b-4 form on behalf of Yorkville America Digital, a close partner of TMTG.
