YouTuber Sam Pepper Went Overboard with Crypto: Banned from Price surge.Fun Due to Firework Incident

Oct 22, 2025

Sam Pepper, a British digital creator recognized for his livestreaming and cryptocurrency-related antics, has faced bans from both Price surge.fun and the livestreaming service, Kick, following a hazardous event during a live stream in New Delhi, India.

During Diwali celebrations, Pepper and his companions were firing fireworks at one another in the streets, and some local residents joined the fun. The situation escalated dramatically when one firework launched by Pepper struck a girl directly in the face.

Initially, Pepper reacted in thrill, exclaiming “Oh my God” and raising his fist, while another person nearby quipped “Headshot.” However, the atmosphere changed drastically once it became apparent that the girl was injured. A motorbike transported her to a nearby medical facility.

Later, Pepper disclosed to a publication that the firework had grazed the girl just above the eyebrow and that medical staff provided her with a butterfly stitch before her discharge.

During the stream, a local individual stated he had heard that the girl might have lost her eye, though he was unsure of the veracity of that claim. Pepper later clarified that the girl’s eyesight is intact.

The publication cited Pepper’s comment, “I had a friend check on them and contacted the family. I apologized and ensured they received compensation for the ordeal and the hospital bills.”

“I feel incredibly remorseful about this incident and will [in] no way be using fireworks again,” he added.

This incident is not Pepper’s first controversy. In 2014, the BBC reported that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was investigating him following his upload of a YouTube video titled “Fake Hand Ass Pinch Prank,” in which he inappropriately touched several women.

He subsequently posted a comparable video involving men, asserting that the clips were part of a social experiment aimed at bringing attention to sexual harassment towards males. Meanwhile, the LAPD stated they could not advance with the case due to insufficient cooperation from the victims.

Moreover, in 2015, Pepper orchestrated another video where he pretended to kidnap a friend and simulate the shooting of another companion in his presence. Many viewers found the video unsettling and initiated a petition for its removal.

However, the individual involved defended the video in a now-deleted post on X, claiming he was “honestly not mad.”

Crypto Stunts And The Rise Of Reckless Promotion

This event has reignited discussions regarding the alarming trend of crypto influencers executing perilous stunts, frequently at the cost of others, to promote meme coins. Platforms like Price surge.fun permit users to launch tokens with minimal scrutiny, and streamers often vulnerability breach shock tactics to enhance trading volume.

While this can result in viral success, it also raises profound concerns about responsibility and security.

Pepper’s firework prank marks yet another instance where someone has sustained injuries in the name of promoting a memecoin on Price surge.fun.

For example, last year, a Solana developer from Florida attempted to attract attention for his “DARE” coin by covering himself in rubbing alcohol and allowing his friends to launch fireworks at him. Regrettably, the stunt turned disastrous, and paramedics had to rush him to the hospital due to severe third-degree burns.

While the value of his memecoin surged, the injuries prevented him from profiting off it and ultimately led him to withdraw from the project.
